"I'm the Big Sister"!Yes, it's true! Mira will be a big sister in May! We are very excited and may still be in shock. The thought of giving both a very active three year old (by May) and a newborn the attention they need and deserve seems a daunting task. It's fun to look through Mira's baby pictures and think about cuddling a teeny tiny one again though. We know that Mira will be a very good big sister as she adores babies. We'll see if that changes once she realizes that this one won't be leaving!
The beginning of the school year marked Mira's jubilant return to daycare. She loves going every morning and frequently asks if we're going back to "My Dina's" on the way home. She has transitioned out of the crib (both at daycare and at home), and has suddenly become one of the "big kids". Her screamed greeting of "my mommy!" is the best part of my day. She frequently walks around singing her ABC's and generally entertaining us at will.
A recent funny: I had taken Mira to Target, and we went immediately into the bathroom. Mira pulled down her pants and bellied up to the toilet. She grabbed herself, squeezed and aimed, ready to pee standing up. We decided that it is definitely time for her to stop going potty with the boys at daycare!
We made a trip to the apple orchard recently, and Mira held her own (both figuratively and literally). She is quite proficient at picking - not so much at keeping the apples off the ground.
Enjoying the fruit of her labor...
A moment with Daddy...
